PLENTY OF SURPRISES AT CHAMBERS

The ‘You’ve found us!’ exclamation on the sign at the front gate at Chambers Rosewood Vineyards gives visitors a glimpse of the unique wine experience available within.

The first thing you notice is the impressive array of bottles on the tasting bar where you will find more than 30 different wines including many lesser-know wines such as Chasselas, Cinsault and Muscadelle in the line up.

Another surprise is the friendly invitation to enjoy the clearly marked tasting experience.

There is no pressure and the lack of pretence is beautifully explained in the very amusing pricing policy poster displayed on the wall.

In spite of an enviable international reputation as producers of quality Muscats, Tokays (Muscadelle) and Ports, these people don’t take themselves too seriously. Rather than pomp and pretence you will find fun and friendliness.

After 150 years in Rutherglen this rustic cellar door is certainly a not-to-be-missed experience at any time of the year.  The two weekends of the Tastes of Rutherglen Festival held during vintage each year and the Walkabout Festival on the Queen’s birthday are particularly popular times to visit.
