Funding is currently available to event organisers through the Corowa Shire Council's Tourism Events Grant Program, which is open until 17 September 2012.

This is the second round of funding offered by Council since the program was established, with the aim of providing in-kind and financial support to events that deliver positive tourism and economic benefits to the community.

Corowa Shire Mayor, Fred Longmire said that Council was pleased to be supporting events in the Shire.

‘We have a vibrant calendar of events in Corowa Shire and it's important we do what we can to support this.' he said.

‘We can appreciate the costs and work that goes into running an event, and this program allows us to provide financial and in-kind assistance to event organisers through a transparent process.' the Mayor said.

Anyone looking to run an event in Corowa Shire is encouraged to submit an application.
