Local Government Elections in 2012 NSW Local Government Elections will be held on Saturday 8 September 2012, where nine councillors will be elected to Corowa Shire Council. The Electoral Commission NSW will be conducting the election and further information can be found at www.elections.nsw.gov.au Who has to vote? If you are an Australian citizen and 18 years or older you must be on the electoral roll for all elections and you must vote in the local council election where you live. If you want to check if you are registered on the electoral roll, please visit www.elections.nsw.gov.au Non Residential Roll If you also own a property or a business in Corowa Shire but you reside outside the Shire boundary you may register to vote for the Corowa Shire Council Local Government election, but you must complete the application form to claim inclusion in the roll of non-residential owners of rateable land or the roll of occupiers and ratepaying lessees.
