In early 2011, Corowa Shire Council engaged Hands on Community Solutions to develop a recreation Master Plan for Lowe Square in Howlong. Lowe Square is the primary recreation reserve in the town and caters for a range of sporting groups which include; football, netball, cricket, little athletics, pony club, tennis as well as a range of other users. The Master Plan has involved extensive research and consultation with key user groups and the master plan report documents are now in a draft format ready for community input. You can view a copy of the draft Master Plan documents from the below attachments or by visiting the Howlong Community Resource Centre. Key stakeholder groups received a copy of the Master Plan at a meeting held on Thursday 21st April which included a presentation about the draft plan. All groups were urged to consider the plan and provide feedback. Some of the future projects identified for Lowe Square include;
The master plan projects have been given a priority based on criteria developed by the user groups, ranging from a very high priority to be looked at within 12 months through to a low priority which may be considered if opportunities arise. It is important to note that the Master Plan is a high level plan to help guide development of the Lowe Square over the next 10 years. Council welcomes feedback and suggestions in regard to the draft Master Plan and this can be done by completing the following online survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/96ZJBN3 Alternatively hard copy feedback forms can be completed and submitted at the Howlong Community Resource Centre. All feedback should be provided by Monday the 23rd May, 2011.
