The Australian Government has committed $200M from the Water for the Future fund to establish the Strengthening Basin Communities (SBC) program. This program is designed to assist Local Government and their communities to plan and implement water initiatives for a Future with less Water.

AlburyCity, Corowa, Greater Hume and Urana Shires have secured $800,000 in funding and are working together to plan for a Future with less Water.

The project has involved three stages and the final stage is now complete. This has involved the investigation of nine projects.
