Corowa Shire Tourism, in conjunction with Corowa Chamber of Commerce, has been successful in receiving a grant funding to establish a Retail Tourism Shopping Campaign.

The campaign will encourage visitors to shop at Corowa businesses by offering exclusive specials collectively presented as a booklet of coupons and provided to visitors free of charge.

The Initiative has been supported by the NSW Government, through the Industry & Investment Small Chambers of Commerce Fund.

The Fund provides assistance for initiatives such as the Retail Tourism Shopping Campaign, which will play an important role in Regional NSW, driving tourism, creating jobs and delivering economic benefits to the community.

Businesses will be invited to participate in this initiative by purchasing a coupon space and offering an exclusive special.

Branded bags and promotional posters will be provided to participating businesses to assist with the overall promotion of this initiative.

This promotion will provide businesses with the opportunity to market collaboratively to obtain a competitive advantage.

"This campaign will compliment a range of initiatives currently being undertaken by Corowa Shire Tourism and assist with the overall tourism objective of increasing overnight stays and visitor spending in Corowa Shire. It will also encourage visitors from neighbouring communities to experience the retail diversity in Corowa Shire." said Corowa Shire Mayor, Cr Gary Poidevin.
