During the last two weeks of October Unit Y, Corowa's Youth Centre in Queen Street, has been transformed. A local ArtStart project which provided twelve students from Corowa High School with the opportunity to learn mosaic techniques and mural painting from local artists Simone Van Ree and Dev Knighton has been completed. The project undertaken by students from year 8 demonstrated exception skills, talent and great team work. The Unit Y "MakeOver" was funded by ArtStart and supported by TAFE NSW and Murray Arts. It involved around 20 young people in the design, planning and construction of the artworks and gave everyone participating a unique experience.
