The Pride of Australia Medal program aims to bring public attention to the extraordinary contributions of ordinary Australians who do not always get the acknowledgment they deserve.

Ten medals will be awarded in NSW and the ACT to celebrate and honour values and attributes such as bravery, courage, leadership, community spirit, mateship, fair play, tolerance, hard work and generosity.

Nominations are now open until Friday 8 August 2008 and can be found online at www.dailytelegraph.com.au or within The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph.
