For fishing enthusiasts, don’t miss the opening of the Murray Cod season by competing in Australia’s richest freshwater fishing tournament and the most eagerly anticipated fishing and social event of the year, the 2009 Cod Classic.

For golfers at heart, the Murray Masters Golf Tournament is a must see event. This PGA sanctioned tournament will be held over five days at the Fab Four on the Murray Golf courses being Corowa, Howlong, Thurgoona and Wodonga golf clubs.

Families are well catered for in Corowa Shire - Enjoy the color and musical extravaganza of the Corowa Christmas Carnival and Federation Festival Parade on the Australia Day Weekend. The annual Art & Photographic Competition the Free Style Sports Expo and Corowa Autofest to name a few are all scheduled this summer. The Howlong Historic Guide is also available free of charge from the Corowa Visitor Information Centre.
