What payment options are there when I want to pay my Rates?

The Corowa Shire Council rates are payable in full or by quarterly instalment.

A range of payment options is available and periodic payments can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

  • Periodic Payments

Rates and charges may be paid outside the due dates subject to an agreement being reached between the Corowa Shire Council and the ratepayer.

  • Hume Building Society: Methods of Payment

Rates may be paid at any branch of the Hume Building Society using cash, cheque or Debit Card (not credit card)

  • Credit Card/Eftpos/Cash/Cheque/Post Billpay

Rates can be paid in person at the Corowa Shire Council offices in Corowa, Howlong and Mulwala using cash, cheque, Eftpos, Mastercard & Visa card.

Mastercard and Visa credit card payments can also be made through the Post Billlpay website, in person at any Post Office or by calling 13 18 16

Cheques or Money orders should be posted to P.O. Box 77, Corowa, NSW 2646 and made payable to The Corowa Shire Council.

  • Bpay

Contact your participating Bank, Credit Union or Building Society to make a payment from your nominated Bank Account.

  • Direct Debit

You may nominate an amount and have it deducted from your cheque or savings account on a periodic basis ie. fortnightly, monthly, quarterly or annually.

A Direct Debit Agreement form is required to be completed and returned to the Corowa Shire Council. Please contact Council’s Rates Department on 02 6033 8970 or download a form from the website.

 

  • Please allow 2 business days for the update of payments made using BPay, Hume Building Society or Postbillpay.
  • The Corowa Shire Council accepts no responsibility for the late processing of your account.

Please ensure that you use the unique Customer Reference Number which relates to your Rates, Water & Debtor Accounts as each account has a different reference number
