Welcome to the library section of our website. In this section, you will find information about the Library services in our Council area.
Community Outreach
The Corowa Friends of the Library continue to assist in the library, fundraise and host 'Australia's Biggest Morning Tea'. Home, hospital and nursing home visits are still conducted weekly, as well as the recording of the Corowa Free Press on tape for the visually impaired.
Fundraising Activities purchased a Digital Camera and Laminating Machine for the Library.
The Friends of the Library hosted guest speaker Rachel Smith. Rachel is a 'Smoke Jumper' from America who spends the summer fighting fires by parachuting onto the rugged slopes to fight fires that are inaccessible by road.
Mulwala Library continued to prosper in 2003/4. Mulwala Friends of the Library was formed with a small group of volunteers to make the Library a better place for all concerned.
Mulwala and Corowa Libraries continue to work well together with book week activities enjoyed by Mulwala also.
