Forget the Melbourne Cup or Formula One the hottest racing action in Australia happens in Corowa annually.

The Australian Billy Cart Championships is an event for all ages with competitors racing down the main street in their home-made or professionally created designs.

Thrills, spills short pants and scraped knees are the order of the day; the stuff of childhood memories. These days, however expect the unexpected with designs limited only by the imagination.

Every competitor must adhere to the conditions of entry and complete and entry form. These are available ny contactingthe Visitor Information Centre.

Entries are now open for this Australian iconic event. So get in early to ensure that you don’t miss the hottest racing action in Australia!

The 2008 event attracted entrants from Melbourne, Sydney and Queensland to the region around Corowa.

Sanger Street will be the centre of racing action and entertainment. Family fun activities including a jumping castle, children’s face painting, plaster painting, clowns and lots more.

Racing enthusiasts, young and old will be catered for with a display of race cars.
