PEDESTRIAN ACCESS AND MOBILITY PLAN

PEDESTRIAN ACCESS AND MOBILITY PLAN

Corowa Shire Council is reviewing its 2006 Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan (PAMP) and would like your help in identifying areas that require improved pedestrian access in Corowa, Howlong and Mulwala.

The PAMP will identify the needs of commuters, school children, the elderly, people with a disability and recreational walkers.  It will identify existing facilities and determine where access can be improved.  A pedestrian includes people walking/running, as well as people in motorised or non-motorised wheelchairs, people pushing wheelchairs and prams, cyclists, skateboarders and scooter riders.  When completed, the new PAMP will assist with improving facilities for pedestrian movement and safey by including a forward works program for future pedestrian facility construction.

Surveys have been distributed to key organisations and groups in the Shire and will also be available at Council Offices, Libraries and Visitor Information Centres in each town.  The survey can also be completed on-line by clicking the link below.

Please complete the Survey, save, and return by email to wendy.thompson@corowa.nsw.gov.au

All surveys should be returned by 30 June 2011.

Please contact Wendy Thompson on 0448 338 924 or wendy.thompson@corowa.nsw.gov.au for more information.
