Health Services

Corowa has a fully serviced medical centre, District Hospital, dental surgery and there are several accredited and newly established aged care facilities throughout the Shire. Corowa Community Health provides ancillary health services throughout the Shire such as HACC Services, Early Childhood Nurse, Drug and Alcohol Worker, Generalist Counsellor, Service, Aged Care Coordinator, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Workers, Child and Adolescent Worker, Mental Health Workers, Dietician, Diabetic Educator, Gentle Exercise programs, Palliative Care Volunteer Coordinator, Women’s Health, Psycho-geriatric Nurse. Howlong Community Health also provides access to ancillary medical and health services.

Corowa Shire has access to many private (located in Corowa, Howlong and Mulwala), Government and outreach health and ancillary services including (but not limited to) podiatry, physiotherapy, dentistry, massage therapy, chiropractor, hearing services, optometrist, naturopathy and alternative health as well as Volunteer services, Friends of Woodstock disability service, Kallianna Community Transport, Disability Advocacy & Information Service, Department of Veterans Affairs and Regional Social Development Group services.
