Corowa CDAT is a community group funded by NSW health and Council to provide events and information to the community regarding the effects of drugs and alcohol use. Our local CDAT is actively involved in many community events including the Safety Expo and Drugs Action Week. Some of the events they have organised include sponsoring activities at the opening of Unit Y and holding a series of Big Screen Nights for young people in Corowa and Howlong.
Corowa CDAT has information available to community members. At Unit Y a display wall has been produced and brochures are available for young people regarding drug and alcohol use and effects.
Several members of the CDAT are trained to provide information sessions, using Beer Goggles to highlight the effects of alcohol, at events or meetings of community groups and organisations. Please contact Wendy on 0448 338 924 to find out more.
