Federation Council Council works proactively to foster the sustainable economic development of the area. Initiatives are constantly undertaken in consultation with the community and the Shire's economic development group - Business Corowa Howlong Mulwala (BCHM).

The Federation Council Economic Development Strategy 2012 - 2017 focuses on building a strong and vibrant local economy through the development of strategies that will facilitate investment, business growth and employment opportunities within Federation Council.
